Stump Sprouts COVID Info

Winter outlook as of 11/27

Day use. The plan right now is for basic trail use to be free. Your experience will more closely resemble a visit to a State Park. Assume responsibility! Embrace self-sufficiency! Your car is your day lodge! Come ready to spend time outdoors! We WON'T be offering indoor bathrooms, paper maps, or a warming room (except by special arrangement - see below*), Nor will we be providing trail sweeps/ski patrol or personal contact assistance. Rentals will be on a "take out" basis. Reserve in advance, pick up and drop off from the farmhouse ski porch. Permission to use the trails will come with the requirement that you have checked the conditions page where I will post information like the status of West Hill Road, plowed parking, grooming and suitability for particular sports on a particular day. We will be open more days, including days when you can't ski. Dogs will sometimes be allowed. Depending on interest and weather/snow conditions, we will sometimes groom specifically for walkers and winter bikers. Below freezing powder/packed powder days will be reserved for skiing/snowshoeing as in the past. Lodging. We are not taking any reservations for any time after the New Years weekend until Dec. 1. Between now and Jan. 1, the lodge may be reserved by single parties of 10 persons or less who are already functioning as a pod. The lodge is only available on a self-catering basis. A minimum rental of 4 days is required. After Jan. 1, Steeply discounted long term rentals will likely be encouraged. With excellent internet and cell service, this could be the perfect place for a family or pod to spend the winter working/learning remotely in an outdoor recreation paradise! Contact us for details * We are considering renting a couple of indoor heated spaces for day use to pods or very small groups for their exclusive use.
