About Canterbury Farm

Canterbury Farm is nestled high in the Berkshire Hills, 1650 feet elevation. Our trail system was specifically designed for cross country skiing with 22 km of trails. We groom and track the majority of trails daily with beginner, intermediate, and advanced terrain. Some trails are wide for skating, and a few backwoods trails are ski tracked only. Our northern exposure guarantees the best snow in the Berkshires. Top of the line grooming and track setting equipment makes our ski conditions as good as it gets!

A great place for families to spend the day. New Rentals of skis, snow shoes and ice skates are available for one low daily price. Lessons for all snow sports are given by certified coaches.

The historic lodge welcomes you to one of the Berkshires’ most  picturesque country B and B’s where hospitality and comfort are as legendary as the  Canterbury Tales! The relaxing atmosphere enhances the three modern guest bedrooms all with private baths, hearty breakfasts, and wireless internet. Relax in the den beside the fireplace then ski, snow shoe, and  hike the trails on our private 160 acres of gardens, ponds and forests.   It is a wonderful place to gather with friends, families, and for special events.

Each room has the architectural features of the classic timber framed colonial. Our renovated facilities offer you the modern comforts of home yet many historic details remain.  Start  your day with a full country breakfast in the Berkshire Room Café. After experiencing the Nordic sports, come in and warm up by the fire with a hot chocolate and enjoy a hearty lunch of homemade soups and wraps.  Relax in the cozy common rooms, sun deck or gazebo.  A perfect ending after a long day of skiing, boating or sightseeing at the many nearby Berkshire attractions  such as Downhill ski areas, Clark Museum, Jacob’s Pillow ,Tanglewood, or Berkshire Theatre Company.
